On March 10, at the urging of concerned environmental groups, DC Water  announced a 30-day extension to the public comment period on their proposed modification to the Long Term Control Plan--a court order that environmental groups won after ten years of litigation, requiring DC Water to finally stop DC's sewage from overflowing into the Potomac River during storms.
